The Institute of Applied Research and Policy Analysis at Cal State San Bernardino provides customized research and consulting services, and serves as a data repository for the Inland Empire. The institute advises in multiple disciplines, drawing knowledge through business, social and public policy research, surveys, marketing studies, and evaluations.

Institute for Child Development and Family Relations

The institute brings current and future child development and family relations professionals and scholars together with families in the Inland Empire region to provide services, develop community partnerships and to shape future programs.

Learning Research Institute
http://lri.csusb.edu Learning about learning and teaching is an interdisciplinary goal, and the Learning Research Institute formulates scholarly projects and research to do just that. The institute conducts immediate and long-term research, generates financial support, allocates research funds, promotes a research report series on learning at CSUSB, and offers advice on relevant measures and assessments.

Water Resource Institute

The Water Resources Institute analyzes policy and offers education and research on Southern California’s crucial water supplies. The institute is a regional hub for academics, students, political leaders, public policy makers, water professionals, businesses and environmental groups to get the latest information and to exchange views. The WRI also manages a valuable archive of historical water documents about Southern California, and houses material that tracks current water resource information.

Community University Partnership Institute
http://partnerships.csusb.edu/ Community-University Partnerships (CUP) is a program designed to leverage university resources to advance the overall quality of life and health in San Bernardino and Riverside counties. CUP supports the formation of new community-university partnerships and directs a service learning fellowship program and provides assistance for community-based research projects.

Office of Technology Transfer and Commercialization (OTTC)

The Office of Technology Transfer and Commercialization expedites the transition of new technologies to the marketplace or to the government for defense- or homeland security-related procurement purposes. Through partnership with the Center for Commercialization of Advanced Technology (CCAT), the OTTC can help clients apply for funding, and then be evaluated on merit and relevance to the overall program.

International Institute

International lectures, Professors Across Borders and other programs by the International Institute enhance intercultural understanding. The institute coordinates many international programs for students and faculty, strengthening the university’s place in the globalization process.
