Welcome
The College of Education is very proud of its teacher credential
programs. We are accredited by the state of California and
have national accreditation from the National Council for the Accreditation
of Teacher Education. We are dedicated to doing our best
to prepare excellent teachers for the more than 55 school districts
in our vast region.
As Associate Dean for the Division
of Teacher Education, I work with all
basic teacher credential programs including:
- Multiple Subject,
- Single Subject,
- Education Specialist, and
- Designated Subject.
There is no more rewarding profession than teaching. If
you have made the decision to pursue a teaching credential, I congratulate
you. I also have this bit of advice.
- Attend any Informational Meetings offered by your
program.
- Meet with your advisor early and throughout your program.
- Read your program handbook thoroughly.
There are many requirements for achieving a teaching credential. If
you take these steps, you’ll maintain awareness of the requirements
and find the road to your license is much smoother.
I wish you well on your journey!
