Building Planning Model
Planning a modern university educational facility involves gathering and processing significant amounts of information. For this task, the COE is utilizing Geographic Information Systems technology (ArcGIS). This sophisticated mapping software package is used to create multiple layers of vertically integrated information.

Using GIS, the COE is able to produce custom maps and data sets that allow for the analysis of real space planning issues: telecom locations & quantities, furniture layout & capacity, department assignments, SMART classroom locations, video recording locations, and more.
Below are some of the layers being used in the this project.
