Listed below are the requirements needed to submit your complete Single Subject Program Admissions File.

To view/or print the applications and forms Adobe® Acrobat Reader® or Microsoft Word Viewer must be installed on your system.  The following requirements can also be found in the Bulletin of Courses as well as in your Credential Handbook, which must be purchased from the Bookstore.

U.S. Constitution  

120 Hours of Pre-service Training

  • ESEC 413:  Language Interaction in the Classroom

And two of the following:

  • ESEC 405:  Introduction to Secondary School Culture
  • ESEC 410:  Adolescent Development and Learning
  • ESEC 506:  Curriculum and Instructionin Content Areas (for English, Mathematics, Social Science, Foreign Language, Physical Education and Science candidates)  OR
  • ART 499 (Art candidates), HSCI 591 (Health Science candidates) or MUSIC 411 (Music candidates)

Note:  Single Subject students transferring units from another institution may be required to take HSCI 100 and ESPE 350.
