Through a unique public-private partnership, CSUSB has developed a permanent branch campus in Palm Desert, the only four-year institution in the area. The Palm Desert Campus is being financed by a combination of individual, foundation, municipal, state and federal resources. The unique public-private partnership at CSUSB’s Palm Desert Campus has drawn national attention and was featured in a front page story in the Sunday, Aug. 5, 2003, edition of the New York Times.
